Proper Post Stitch Placement – Working in Rows & Rounds

When working a project in the round or in a row, have you ever found yourself asking, “Where do I work the next post stitch?” If so, then then keep on reading!

One of the most common questions I receive about working post stitches is: “How do I know that I’m working the next post stitch around the correct stitch?”. So, I decided to put together a video tutorial for proper post stitch placement in rounds and in rows.

Working Post Stitches in Rows

If you’d like to work a small swatch and work along with the video tutorial, work the following:

Row 1: With your hook, ch 14, working in the back humps of the foundation chain, dc in the 3rd ch from your hook, dc in each ch across. (12 sts)

 

Working Post Stitches in the Round

Learn Proper Post Stitch Placement in Rounds by A Crocheted Simplicity

If you’d like to work a small swatch and work along with the video tutorial, work the following:

Round 1: With your hook, ch 31, working in the back humps of the foundation chain, hdc in the 2nd ch from your hook, hdc in each ch across. (30 sts)
