Crochet Pattern | “Winter Waves” Cowl & Ear Warmer

Winter Waves Cowl Ear Warmer Collage WM

Ever since releasing my “Winter Waves” Reversible Beanie & Slouch, I’ve been meaning to design a ear warmer and cowl in a similar stitch pattern. I’m excited to be able to FINALLY mark this off my list! And I LOVE how warm and cozy this one turned out! 😀

It all began with the “Winter Waves” Ear Warmer. I designed it a few days ago and then hosted a fun impromptu crochet-a-long in my Facebook group. At the end of the CAL, Jenny (from Ella Bella Bows) had a grand idea! She added a couple more rows to hers and took a photo of herself wearing it as a cowl! This is how the “Winter Waves” Cowl was born! Thank You, Jenny! 🙂

Since it would be right to separate them into 2 patterns, you can get BOTH options in 1 pattern, making this a great 2-in-1!

I used Lion Brand Thick & Quick and Lion Brand Hometown USA for the prototypes. Both designs are very quick to work up and take less than a skein! In fact, you can get 2 adult ear warmers out of only one skein of Lion Brand Thick & Quick (solids) making them not only quick to make, but economical too! 😀

  1. I tried to get the pattern but the coupon did not work. I tried going to your site and going to Ravelry and looking the pattern up and I clicked on the link but I could not get the coupon to work. I really like your patterns and my neice would love this hat!

    1. Did you try the code using all caps? It’s worked for a few thousand others. I would try again before 3:00pm CST on the 19th. 😉

  2. Thank you so much for the pattern. I enjoyed the CAL and noticed I sewed my button on the wrong side. With the yarn I used it is had to see the waves pattern so I will doing more with solid colors and putting the buttons on the correct size. 🙂
